Successful first networking breakfast on Flevoland’s logistics labour market
During the first networking breakfast organised by House of Logistics Flevoland, representatives from education, government and industry came together to discuss the future of the logistics labour market in the Lelystad–Almere–Zeewolde region.
Stronger collaboration between education and industry
The event marked a strong start of a new platform centred on collaboration. With high engagement from all partners, it became clear that labour market challenges are widely shared and require a joint approach.
The logistics sector is evolving rapidly. Technological innovation and increasing automation are driving demand for new skills and competencies. This requires continuous alignment between education and industry, as well as a shared vision on talent development.
Building future-proof organisations
The central theme of the morning was learning culture and social innovation. The sessions highlighted that learning takes place not only within formal education systems, but also in the workplace and throughout entire careers. A strong learning culture is therefore essential for building future-proof organisations.
From the perspective of Lelystad Logistics, these insights closely align with developments in the region. The strength of the Lelystad–Almere–Zeewolde logistics hotspot lies in collaboration between partners. By sharing knowledge and jointly investing in people and innovation, stakeholders are working towards sustainable solutions for tomorrow’s labour market challenges.
The first edition of the networking breakfast demonstrates a strong willingness to collaborate — a valuable step towards a future-proof logistics sector in Flevoland.
