New Flevoland subsidy encourages collaboration on business parks
As of 24 March 2026, the Province of Flevoland has introduced a new scheme to strengthen collaboration on business parks: the Organising Capacity Incentive Subsidy for Business Parks. With a total budget of €418,000, the province aims to make business parks more future-proof.
Business collectives can apply for funding of up to €22,000 for initiatives that contribute to sustainability, the energy transition, circular economy and a clean and safe working environment.
Collaboration as a driver of development
Well-functioning business parks form a key foundation for regional economic growth. By encouraging collaboration between companies, shared challenges such as grid congestion and sustainability can be addressed more effectively.
According to Deputy Toon van Dijk, this is where the key lies: strengthening the level of organisation enables faster progress and greater impact.
Relevance for Lelystad
For Lelystad, this scheme aligns closely with the broader development of the city and region. The combination of available space, modern business parks and a growing network of companies makes collaboration increasingly important.
As seen in recent developments in logistics, infrastructure and the labour market, Lelystad is growing as a location where businesses reinforce each other and jointly build a future-proof ecosystem.
Lelystad as a logistics hub
The strength of Lelystad lies in the combination of scale, accessibility and collaboration. With direct connections via road, water, rail and air, a multimodal network is emerging that allows companies to operate flexibly and scale their activities.
Initiatives supported by this subsidy can further strengthen this position and contribute to a sustainable and future-oriented business climate.
